Over 2 online art classes we created an autumnal ‘Bleeding Leaf’ Wreath.
Firstly we ‘dyed’ our paper leafs using crepe paper and water (check out our previous posts for step by step guide on how to do this). We then let our leafs dry.
Once dry we then peeled off the crepe paper and were left with what looked like tie dyed/bleeding leafs. We cut out the leafs and stuck them using a glue stick to our wreath backing. We made sure to place the leafs clockwise on our wreath backing overlapping the leafs to give a full and bushy effect.
When the entire wreath backing was filled we then made sure all the leafs where secure and used a brown/black marker to draw on the leaf veins to give them a more realistic look.
Once this was complete we added a piece of string to the wreath to allow us to hang it up.
Well done to everyone who participated. Your wreaths all turned out really beautiful!
