On Tuesday 10th February, our athletes were honored at the Road to Ireland Games: Fingal Send-Off, a special reception held in the Carnegie Court Hotel and hosted by the Mayor of Fingal.

The evening celebrated athletes from across the Fingal area who have been selected to represent Team Eastern at the Special Olympics Ireland Games 2026, and it was a wonderful opportunity to wish them well on their journey ahead.

We are incredibly proud to send a special congratulations and shout-out to our seven amazing athletes: Tom, Pauline, Maria, Matthew, Leon, Paula and Derek!

A special moment of the evening was when Tom was invited on stage for a Q&A session, showcasing his passion and knowledge — what a proud moment for all of us!

Your dedication, hard work and commitment have truly paid off, and we know you will represent Team Eastern with pride. Best of luck on the road to the Ireland Games — we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!
