Over the past couple of week’s a group of us in Estuary Centre have been taking part in the Fingal Leader Partnership’s ABILITY programme. The purpose of this programme is to help us to become work ready and develop the confidence and independence required to participate in education, training and employment. We are currently on Week 2 of the programme and have been really enjoying the programme. So far, we have learned what our skills are and what motivates us.
The ABILITY team is made up of two facilitators Linda and Liam who have been a great support. They link in with us twice a week, once as a group and the second through individual weekly meetings which are all done online. Each week we get an assignment which we work on when we are in Estuary Centre and bring it to our individual meetings – These assignments have already thought us so much about ourselves and what path we would like to go down in terms of education and employment. We are all so excited for the possibilities this programme will bring and we would like to say a big thank you to Linda and Liam.
