Today we hosted our very first ‘Badge of Honor’ Online programme with Daniel. Our first class was all about being an active listener. We chatted about how to improve listening skills and become an active listener, We watched video clips on active listening tips and took part in a role-play activity. Over the next couple of days everyone agreed to create a drawing about a time when they feel they listened well and we’ll talk about that at the next class. Once this part of the programme is complete everyone will then receive their active listening badge!
Tips On Being An Active Listener:
- Make eye contact
- Face the speaker
- Ask open questions (how, what, when, where)
- Pay attention to what the speaker says
- Do not interupt
- Nod your head
