Over the last few months we have been slowly tipping away at creating a bug hotel for our garden. We made it out of recycled wooden pallets and many more bits and bobs that we collected from Recreate Ireland. Tree Services Ireland and Woolengrange Farm also gave us some wooden logs, straw and roof slates to fill some of the gaps and to create signs.

Building a bug hotel is important because solitary bees & beneficial bugs need our help. It is also a great way to add colour to the garden, educate each other about biodiversity, engage with nature and to reuse recycled materials.
