Recently, a group from our centre visited Christchurch Cathedral and the Dublinia Experience. It was a fun and educational trip. Christchurch Cathedral has a lot of history and beautiful architecture. We toured the cathedral ourselves, absorbing the peace and calm of the building as well as admiring the beautiful stained glass windows, carvings and little chapels inside.
In the Dublinia Experience, which is situated across the road from the Cathedral, we learnt about the history of the vikings in Dublin and about medieval Dublin. The museum is very hands-on! We got to see how the vikings lived and worked and even got to try on some clothes that they wore. We learnt about Dublin in the very early years too and about how the ships brought their good into the city and how the people lived.
