The arts and horticulture program teamed up once again to create a number of new additions to our garden.
We created a new herb garden in a space located right outside our canteen area.
It is wonderful to have all of these herbs so close to our kitchen and to have each one clearly marked.
We made the signs from recycled wood and left over paint.
We used some of the herbs to spruce up the fruits of our summer harvest from the poly-tunnels. So far, we have cucumbers, lettuce and tomatoes (on the way).
Next we made some welcoming signs to brighten up our entrance.
We wanted to present people a positive message as they came into our centre.
Martin and his team done a bit of recycling of their own and revamped this old unused wheelbarrow with some beautiful summer bedding.
As part of the arts program we created a compost bin for the garden out of recycled wooden pallets.
Love it!!!! Looks absolutely brilliant!
